I will not write the detail about why Google change the scoring website, while we usually know PageRank as main factor got popularity on Google search result

Page Rate will be established by the installation of an attractive voting widget on each page allowing readers to click either an up or down arrow to show approval or disapproval of the page’s content. After clicking the arrow of choice, the reader will be prompted to leave a comment about the page they just voted for. While all users are allowed to vote, only those logged into their Google account will actually have their votes counted or be allowed to comment.

PageRate look more social ranking website. Thats mean websites will get Page Rate every visitor or reader open your site, give the comment, etc.

I’ll make another hoax, you can call it ‘Google PageSMS’. Basically each sites have a same chance tobe voted via short message system (SMS) .. just send it to 9898. The format is REG# Google PageSMS

Oh No, If this true…!! it’s gonna be more hard to get nice pagerank oopss sorry pagerate. Only site with great content will be voted. my last highest pagerank was only 1. very miserable

If pagerate like above post said then anyone can abuse it, the site owner can click many times his/her site so can higher in SERP

its like digg.com methode, the more people digg it, the more higher the post rank position

but google already do this in they google lab a few month ago and they had stop it, is that google page rate beta??
