The second Busby SEO Contest started yesterday, but the participants are ready to prepare to compete on this seo challenge. For example, the recent google SEPR with the main keyword: busby seo test, its dominating by the top last candidates from the previous contest such as SphereTeam, Pinoy Team, Dewaji, Imfreakz to Ray. Playing with 301, 302 and 307 Redirect

Well, 2 days left to the end of Busby SEO Challenge. However, Google update is unpredictable, currently Google has change the main algorithm. When in the past, we waiting for 3-4 month to Google updating their data center, now day we do not need patient to get high ranking, jut make cool posting on your blog it could push you position to the top.

Lucky for me, in the last days, I found guy(s) love playing with me, he make 307 redirect link pointing to the main page. Before, I’m talking much watch this video (click full screen for better view).

On my last post Seb make a comment that he was redirect his Busby page to my site, Seb is senior member of SeoSphere, we all know all Sphereteam are meet together on this forum. He make a comment post on the Busby Seo Challenge thread that same on the video (if their admin not delete).

By making this video we will learn what is 301, 302, 307 redirect not to justify what Seb just did.
301 redirect is moved permanently redirection
302 redirect is most common way of performing a redirection.
307 redirect is temporary redirect

301 / 302 Redirect Warning
Be sure to avoid redirecting large numbers of pages all to one location. This practice is commonly used by spammers and could wind up getting your site into some hot water with Google. And this black-hat trick no longer works.

And for tool, you can use HTTP header checker, to check which type of the redirection. And I’m not worry when somebody redirect trick that use by spammer to pulling down the competitor.

Latest Google Algorithm, Anchor Text No More Important

In Buzz of Search Engine Optimization blogs, there are rumored google altered their algorithm, its from the credible of Search Engine Roundtable confirmed it. Event though Matt Cutt doesn’t yet make new notification about changing the algorithm, Blog Storm UK make a post the latest changes is Anchor Text Links is lest important. Some happen also this week on Busby SEO Challenge position on google top result moving very fast than before update the PageRank on July.

The question is does it effect on my Busby SEO Challenges Blog, the answer is yes. By what ? and what on effect ? If you spy your competitor or your own backlinks by typing “link:http://www.mydomain.com” at Yahoo, you get number of result lis where you get backlink, but do you know does you backlinks are has great of quality. Quality of backlinks is not measure from the high PageRank, but also number of outboundlink/externallink and inlink of the web pages you get backlinks.

How about the anchor text fortmat … ? Is your anchor 100% Busby SEO Challenge ? My answer is wrong if you make same anchor text on you backlinks. Make anchor text as natural as google like it. The composition depends on your creativity. On this contest, compositions my target keyword is 50-70%: Busby Seo Challenge; 20-40%: combination words of busby seo and seo challenge, sample: Busby SEO Contestant or Busby SEO Challenge Contestant and for about 10% the backlink anchor is my own url http://www.pogung177.com/aussie/

Do not pointing all anchor text to the homepage, the another natural backlinks linking is make a backlink for your inner page, such as backlink to my first post or to your about page

Last chance … I said last chance …, 6 days aren’t enough to keep position. Evething move so fast without any warning.

After giving free backlinks to the competitors pinoy backlinks and france backlinks , its time me to give backlinks to my own country participants from Indonesia, even though there are more contestants from other countries like Indian or Australian but the number is less than from Indonesia, France and Philippines.

Indonesia participants has special page on Busby SEO Challenge Indonesia Blogger Unity , and now my turn giving them free backlink on last days, to support all contestants and telling that Busby SEO Challenge 2008 is just a game. And the contest challenge is a process how we learn short term SEO, actually SEO is not just 3 months, SEO should be for long term period. On SEO contest we should learn from other contestants, how their style making contents and where they get backlinks. Some contestants making static pages while other making up to date blogs with fresh contents. Spying backlinks other contestants is importance too, this step is to measure how strong their backlink compare with your own backlinks.

It should be same like I do with other contestants, make them active and get best position on the last days of Busby SEO Challenge, Google SERP showing the sphererteam has been push to the 3rd and me too on the 4th. (Updated August 24, 2008)

Backlink factor is the most important thing how to measure your major result or your best ranking on Google SERP. Some SEO’er think Content is the King and Backlinks is Queen, while other think Backlinks is the King and Contents is the Queen. And I’m neither taking apart for first position or the second one, I just thought both Backlink and Content are the King and no more Queen needed.

Do you know why my busby seo challenge contest get bandwidth exceeded few days ago…? here is the reason, I saw on my awstats page much of suspicious IPs access this site many … many times. I have check one by one, and red mark the IP’s. If you want to know which country is come from use IP Address check and tell me which is come from..? (click for large image)

Do you know to avoid if you get more action of suspicious IP’s that eat a lot of your bandwidth ?, it simple go to your Cpanel and click IP Deny manager then block those IP’s

Do You Know Why Googlebot Did This ?

Don’t panic when you got attack from so many Googlebots visiting your homepage. Some people call it as Spoofing Googlebot or Google Proxy hack. Since earlier month, I got almost 1.400.000 googlebots visiting my site ( WTF of this ). This also another way to attack competitor to eat your bandwidth. (Click for large image)

here is close scenario what is Google proxy hack, usually humans are request for page through proxy to hidden surf anonymously.

But what will happen if Googlebot request your page through proxy ..? Google will index your page as duplicating your content, not just spidering but also could eat your bandwidth. See below this diagram

When Google fetched the copy of Brad’s home page through the proxy URL, they were dropping Brad’s (authentic) home page from the index completely, and keeping the (proxy) duplicate instead. Every time it happened, Brad was losing a ton of traffic and position.

Now the question, How to avoid Googlebot attack your website ? I have 2 answer.

1. Read on Google proxy thread on Webmaster Forum
2. Block daily free proxy IP to you IP Deny Manager on your CPANEL. Googling for Free proxy, you should get hundreds of suspicious that should be banned.

Last Question, Who did this to my site ?

I got no answer so far, however I thought only COWARD did this.
